Kick-Ass Beer

Kick-Ass Beer

I really meant to do this more often than I have, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been trying new beers…So I’m going to try and get you caught up a little.

My Disclaimer…I’m not a beer expert and I can’t tell you everything about hops, or the flavor profiles and aromas. This is just a list of what tastes good to me

Wicked Weed – Freak of Nature

Double IPA 8.5% ABV – 100 IBU

From Wicked Weed in Asheville, NC, this is a traditional west coast IPA. Plenty hoppy and bitter.

Be carful…It doesn’t taste like an 8.5% beer…A little sneaky (a common theme on this list).

Cigar City Margarita Gose

4.2% ABV – 5 IBU

Cigar City Brewing, perhaps known better for the Jai Alai IPA (also a kick-ass beer), makes this sour Margarita Gose, and it may be my new favorite beach beer.

Perfectly tart and refreshing, at 4.2% you can drink these all day.

Trim Tab Queen Bee 3x IPA

10.5% ABV – N/A IBU

A Birmingham favorite, Trim Tab produces A LOT of good beer, and is an awesome Instagram follow. Known for their IPA and Paradise Now, they regularly produce limited availability beers.

This is one, and it’s big…really BIG, and because of the honey flavor profile, it’s hard to explain just how subtle this monster can be. Parental Advisory Suggested!

Westbrook Three Claw Imperial IPA

8.5% ABV – 25 IBU

This is a hazy New England style IPA, and it actually is all those things. (Seems a lot of breweries are throwing hazy on the label, whether it is or not.)

Until I wrote this, I had no idea Westbrook Brewing was located in South Carolina…Learn something new everyday.

What The Hell Does This Have To Do With Digital Marketing?

NOTHING. I just love the fact that I can write about whatever is on my mind and share it with anyone who will listen (or can read)!
